Liquid has always been and still is a family run business and we want keep it that way. However, since moving to our new location on the beach we can’t possibly run everything ourselves!  This is why we’re happy to announce that we’ve found just the right people to do some of the very important jobs at Liquid.

Bryan, our new Resort Manager is the first person you meet either through email or when checking into the dive centre. He’s the one who will do everything in his power to guarantee your whole visit with us will be amazing. He’s been a Liquid family member for a long time already, from Open Water to Divemaster with us. He’s also an instructor so it’s easy to plan dives and courses with him before coming to Tofo.

Jaime, our Administrative Manager, you probably don’t see as much as Bryan but he’s making sure all our staff are happy and that the salaries and our legal agreements are met in time. His work behind the scenes make things rolling in the front. Jaime is also an official English translator so all our documents are perfectly done in two languages. 

When it comes to diving, we can truly ensure that you’re in safe hands.  All of our diving operations here at Liquid are run by Nadia, who is one of the most experienced instructors in the area, with a strong focus on safety and enjoyment. She has all our dive schedules planned months ahead since that’s the only way to really make sure we don’t overbook and our group sizes stay small. Even that Liquid has grown as a company the basic philosophy of diving with two staff members and in small groups has stayed the same. Nadia is also in charge of our instructors and training, although she’s very much involved in diving and training herself.

As most of you will know we have been extremely busy at Liquid creating our stunning new dive centre on the beach. Most excitingly for us is the launch of our brand new accommodation, opening up so many more possibilities for our clients. 

We have 11 cabins right on the beach, each with an en-suite bathroom, air-conditioning, ocean view, private terrace with sun loungers and breakfast at our popular restaurant Happi. Guests can also enjoy using our stunning beachside pool and WiFi. 

The cabins can be set up as a double or twin room and we can add an extra bed for young children. We provide a number of different dive and stay packages ranging from short to longer stays. 

What this means for us and for you is that for the first time at Liquid groups of divers and/or holidaymakers can book and stay together.

Meet the Superheroes!

Our Superheroes! The newest PADI Instructors of 2018! 

We have had an incredibly busy February with a full dive centre and our 1st Instructor Development Course and Instructor Exam of 2018! We had an amazing group of people who worked so diligently and passionately to achieve their dream of becoming a PADI Instructor and they all passed!! :) 

The exam didn't have the same highlight as our last IE where they had 3 Humpback Whales circling them at 8 metres on Clownfish Reef! Instead it was dominated by a HUGE surge generated from a 2 metre swell in the bay. It highlighted to us the nature of Tofo's waters: unpredictable, challenging and thrilling. All the trainee Instructors told us they'd chosen to do their IDC in Tofo for that very reason: once you can thrive, and teach in these waters, you can do it anywhere. 

Of the group who trained here, we had the wonderful Jessica and Jasmiina who came to us last year to do their EFR and Rescue Courses. They loved it so much that they signed up to do their Divemaster Course with us. They were such dedicated, professional, friendly Divemaster Candidates. They then signed up to do the IDC on the back of their training here. They've now gone back to their former lives in Europe but with an unforgettable experience and a hugely valuable qualification. We will miss them very much! We also had lovely Emma from England who is now going to be an Instructor in Madagascar so we're hoping she'll keep her promise and jump on a flight on her way home to come see us again! Felipe, Tofo born and raised, who worked tirelessly to get his qualification will continue teaching at another dive centre where he was previously working. Olle, a charming young German whose brother is teaching in Tofo, will join forces with his brother and hopefully, as he suggested, will only teach as a brother combo! And last but not least, the lovely "Tip Top Tommy T" who came to us as a client last year, who then came back to do his Divemaster Course. We were so impressed with him and he was (and still is!) hugely popular with our clients that we encouraged him to become and Instructor. He agreed and is now the newest Instructor and member of the Liquid Dive Family! We are so happy that he has agreed to work with us: he is already an incredible diver with huge passion and knowledge of all animals; we know he will be an outstanding Instructor! 

A big thank you to Giny, the effervescent Course Director and our very own Jari for delivering such a successful course and thank you to Janine from PADI for being such a rigorous examiner. 

Well done to all our wonderful Instructors! 

The next course is in June and then September after that: get signed up to this incredible, life-changing course! 

We have a winner...and another competition!

As many of you know, we ran a competition last month for our Facebook and Instagram followers and friends. We are delighted to announce the winners: Hannu and Raul (Instagram/Facebook Name: Life of 2 Men)!!! They have won a 7 Night and 10 Dive Package at our brand new, stunning dive centre on the beach in Tofo, Mozambique! We wonder if they'll change their honeymoon destination to Mozambique...? :)
